Ylang Ylang

The name Ylang-Ylang means, "flower of flowers." It is believed to have antidepressant, aphrodisiac, antiseptic, calming, euphoric, and sedative properties. It can be used as a scalp tonic and it helps with hair loss. Brushing Ylang-Ylang through your hair is a wonderful experience. Only a drop or two is needed. This oil is so sweet that it can be overpowering. It must be used in small amounts and high dilutions.

The essential oil of Ylang-Ylang mixes well with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Grapefruit, Lavender, and Sandlewood. Use in moderation. Some cases of sensitivity, nausea, and headaches have been observed when taken in excess. Avoid use on damaged or very sensitive skin may cause irritation.

This oil is a very effective for lowering blood pressure. It should be avoided if you have a history of low-blood pressure.
