Geranium Essential Oil

Geranium Essential Oil can help slow the signs of aging, and firm up middle-aged skin. It is also known to help remove, or at least prevent, scarring and stretch marks. The oil has antidepressant properties that are uplifting and bring a healthy glow when used in skin care. Blend 2-3 drops of geranium and lavender with 25ml of wheat germ oil. Use weekly in a gentle circular facial massage. Some say there is an immediate noticeable difference in their skin.

Its floral fragrance makes it blend well with many other oils. Lavender or sandalwood are good ones to try. Geranium works on the emotions and is useful in many medical conditions.

The essential oil is distilled from the leaves and stems of the geranium plant which are harvested just before flowering to gain oil of maximum potency..

Geranium Tea

Tea - Use 1 teaspoon dried herb per cup of hot water. Drink for PMS, depression and sore throats.

Hair - Steep 1/4 cup dried herb in one quart of boiled water for at least 20 minutes and up to 2 days. Use as a hair rinse.

Bath - Use up to 10 drops essential oil to a tub full of water. Great for circulation, wounds and bruises.

PMS Herbal Mixture -Roses, Lavender, Geranium and Peppermint together make a great combination to combat PMS. Use either essential oils or the dried herbs.
