Is useful for premenstrual tension and depression, it's characteristics make it excellent for soothing tension, restlessness and irritability.
Use for acne irritation and oily skin, even on insect bites. Add to skin lotion or oil for some moisture-balancing, softening and to help nourish and rejuvenate the skin.
Ylang Ylang blossoms can help ease the effects of stress and nervousness. It is used as a fixative in soaps, cosmetics and high-class perfumes. It is also an ingredient in desserts, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks.
Safety Precautions: Too much of the scent can cause headaches. Avoid if low blood pressure or history of apnea. Possible irritant to sensitive skin or in strong dilution.
Brushing Ylang-Ylang through your hair is a wonderful experience. Only a drop or two is needed. This oil is so sweet that it can be overpowering. It must be used in small amounts and high dilutions. I find it to be amazing used in baths, relaxing massage oils and skin-care products.
