Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is one of the most powerful natural antiseptics around. It is used in baths for massages and inhalation during the cold and flu seasons. It is excellent for treating fevers, bronchitis, sinus and allergy problems. It can help stimulate thinking and increase concentration when you are under emotional pressure. Eucalyptus aids the whole breathing process. It can help regenerate lung tissue and functions as a good expectorant and cough suppressant.

For muscular aches and pains make a cold compress by adding 3 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oil, 3 drops Lavender Essential Oil, and 3 drops Rosemary Essential Oil to a bowl of cool water. Use a washcloth or any soft cloth. It can also be used as a hot compress for muscle aches, sprains and flesh wounds.

For an all over massage, use 1/2-teaspoon Eucalyptus Essential Oil and 1-tablespoon pure olive oil, very good for arthritis.

To bath in Eucalyptus for an over all inhalation place 1/4 cup of Eucalyptus leaves in a small muslin bag or large tea ball. Steep for several minutes and leave in bath with you. For nasal congestion, pour-boiling water into a bowl, add 3 drops Eucalyptus and 2 drops Peppermint. Place a towel over your head, close your eyes, lean over the bowl, and inhale the steam.

Use 1- teaspoon Eucalyptus Oil to 1/2-pint water in a bottle and spray on for insect repellent. Squeaky Clean Windows Add 30 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil to 8oz. of distilled water in a spray bottle.

Caution: When taken internally, eucalyptus oil is highly poisonous.
